Traffic Police Apprehend Suspect with Stolen Motorcycle in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. On Thursday, traffic police apprehended one individual along with a stolen motorcycle from Sundarijal, Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-1, Kathmandu. The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Sujit Kumar Sahani, a native of Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-5, Sarlahi, currently residing in Sundarijal, Kathmandu.

The motorcycle, bearing the original registration number Bagmati Province 02-022-P-2567, was intercepted by traffic police on the Sundarijal road section while being operated without a license plate. The owner, Raju Lama, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6, had previously filed a report with the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office regarding the theft of the vehicle from Jorpati, Kathmandu.

According to Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the suspect and the recovered motorcycle have been handed over to the Boudh Police Circle for further investigation.

Superintendent Subedi urged the public to park vehicles in secure locations and utilize safety measures such as wheel locks, chain locks, handle locks, disc locks, and security sirens, while advising against parking in isolated areas with minimal foot traffic.
