CPN-UML Convenes Emergency Secretariat Meeting Following Controversial Remarks by Ram Bahadur Thapa

Kathmandu. The CPN-UML has called an emergency secretariat meeting. The party decided to convene the meeting following remarks made by Acting Chairman and Parliamentary Party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal) during today's Thursday session of the House of Representatives.

Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel expressed his objection to Vice Chairman Thapa's statement, stating that it would be discussed in the secretariat meeting. Vice Chairman Gokarna Bista informed that the secretariat meeting has been scheduled for Friday at 1:00 PM at the party office. 

According to CPN-UML leaders, there had been no prior discussion within the party regarding the statement made by Badal.
