Seven killed in separate road accidents across Nepal

Kathmandu. Seven people have died in separate road accidents across various parts of the country.

In Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15, Thulo Bharyang, a tipper truck (Pr.3-01-006 Kha 0172) collided with a scooter (Pr.3-02-008 Pa 2221) on Tuesday night, resulting in the death of 32-year-old scooter passenger Khem Bahadur Mahat. Police reported that he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Manmohan Hospital.

The scooter driver is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the accident. Following the initial collision, the scooter also struck a truck (Na.5 Kha 1012). Police have taken both the tipper and truck drivers into custody.

In Rupandehi, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-9, Itabhatti, a collision between a Hiace van (Ba.Pr.03-001 Ja 1229) and an e-rickshaw (Ra.1 Ha 4434) resulted in the death of 32-year-old e-rickshaw driver Gobinda BK. He passed away while receiving treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital. The Hiace driver has been detained.

In Sankhuwasabha, Panchkhapan Municipality-4, Khanigaun, a tractor (Pr.1-02-003 Ta 3866) lost control and crashed on Wednesday morning, killing 21-year-old Roshan Shrestha on the spot. The tractor driver is in police custody.

In Kapilvastu, Kapilvastu Municipality-9, near Jagdishpur Lake, a tipper (Lu.2 Kha 6455) struck 9-year-old Ashika Khatri. She died while undergoing treatment at the Medical College in Bhairahawa. The tipper driver has been arrested.

Similarly, in Kapilvastu's Krishnanagar Municipality-1, Sali, near Halchowk, a bus (Ra.1 Kha 2142) hit a 42-year-old cyclist, Dilliram Tharu, who later died during treatment. The bus driver has been detained by police.

In Tanahun, Devghat Rural Municipality-4, Kafaldanda, a tractor (Ga.1 Ta 1523) lost control and crashed on Tuesday afternoon, killing 14-year-old Shiva Bahadur Gurung on the spot. The injured driver is receiving treatment at a government hospital in Bharatpur.

In Dhading, Galchhi Rural Municipality-4, Master, a tanker (Na.5 Kha 1592) and a motorcycle (Pradesh 03-02-013 Pa 3962) collided, resulting in the death of 40-year-old motorcycle passenger Chandan Rauniyar. He died while undergoing treatment at B&B Hospital in Lalitpur. The injured motorcycle driver is currently receiving treatment, and the tanker driver has been taken into custody.

The Nepal Police Central News Room stated that further investigations into these accidents are underway.
