Five individuals arrested in separate rape cases across Nepal

Kathmandu. Five individuals have been arrested from separate locations on charges of rape. According to the Nepal Police Central News Room, four people were arrested on Tuesday evening for allegedly raping an 18-year-old girl in Banke. 

The arrested individuals include 21-year-old Ashish Tharu, 27-year-old Sandip Tharu, 21-year-old Niraj Tharu, and a 16-year-old teenager, all residents of Kohalpur Municipality-5 and 6. 

Following a complaint alleging that they had raped the girl, police deployed from the Area Police Office, Kohalpur, apprehended them. 

In Jhapa, 28-year-old Pravin Sundas, a resident of Arjundhara Birtamod Municipality-8, was arrested by police on Tuesday evening for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.

 Based on the complaint that Pravin had raped the girl, police deployed from the Area Police Office, Anarmuni, arrested him.  It has been stated that the police are conducting necessary investigations into both incidents.
