Dry landslide destroys homes in Jumla's Hima Rural Municipality

Jumla. A dry landslide in Khaldhunga village, located in Hima Rural Municipality-6, has caused damage to three houses. The landslide, which occurred on Tuesday, completely destroyed the homes of local residents Lalijang Adhikari and Buchho Adhikari.

Similarly, the house of local resident Narjang Adhikari was partially damaged, according to Hima-6 Ward Chairman Upraj Adhikari. The displaced families affected by the landslide are currently staying in the homes of other villagers. Ward Chairman Adhikari stated that although the ward has requested assistance from the rural municipality, provincial government, federal government, and various organizations, no support has been received so far.

Previously, in Ashoj 2079, incessant rainfall had swept away six houses in the same village. However, the Ward Chairman expressed grievances that the victims did not receive adequate relief at that time as well.
