Weather Forecast Indicates Widespread Rain and Snowfall Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The weather across the country has changed due to the influence of westerly winds along with local air systems.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is generally cloudy weather in the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country, while other areas are experiencing partial cloudiness. Light rain with thunderstorms is currently occurring in some places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in various parts of the country this afternoon and tonight. Specifically, there are indications of moderate rainfall in a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, the Division has stated that rain and snowfall with thunderstorms may occur in the Terai region of Madhesh Province, the Terai region of Koshi, and the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim. In the Terai regions, there will be partial cloud cover, and the trend of cloudiness in the hilly areas will continue.
