Massive Protests Erupt Across US Cities Against Trump's Policies and Authoritarian Style

Washington D.C. - Massive demonstrations took place in cities across the United States on Saturday to protest US President Donald Trump's stringent immigration policies, tensions with Iran, and authoritarian style. This third phase of protests, organized under the 'No Kings' campaign, featured anti-government rallies in over 3,200 locations across all 50 states of the US.

Just like the previous two phases of nationwide demonstrations, millions of people took to the streets this time as well. Especially large rallies were held in major cities such as New York, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Washington.

According to organizers, the wave of protests in smaller communities and areas outside major cities increased by nearly 40 percent compared to June. In the state of Minnesota, the movement took a fierce turn, where thousands gathered outside the State Capitol in St. Paul carrying pictures of American citizens Rennie Good and Alix Pretty, who were fatally shot by immigration officers earlier this year.

Addressing the demonstration in Minnesota, Tim Walz, the Democratic Party's Vice Presidential candidate for 2024, stated that those who oppose Trump's policies are the 'heart and soul' of America. Mocking the Trump supporters who label them as extremists, Walz said, 'Yes, we are extremists—extremists for compassion, civility, the rule of law, and democracy, so that we can stop tyranny.'

At the same event, famous singer Bruce Springsteen sang songs criticizing Trump's immigration policy, while Senator Bernie Sanders declared that America would not be allowed to be pushed toward private property or dictatorship.

Meanwhile, the Republican Party has labeled these protests as anti-American rallies. Mike Marinella, spokesperson for the National Republican Congressional Committee, issued a statement accusing these rallies of being the product of the violent and confused mindset of the leftists.

At the demonstration in Manhattan, New York, Hollywood actor Robert De Niro characterized Trump as the biggest 'existential threat' to American freedom and security to date.

From the National Mall in Washington to the elderly in Maryland, participants chanted slogans in favor of democracy, spreading the message to 'Protest Dictatorship.' Clashes also occurred in some locations, such as Dallas, between protesters and the far-right group Proud Boys.
