Chinese Premier Li Qiang Congratulates Newly Appointed Nepali Prime Minister Balen Shah

Kathmandu. Chinese Premier Li Qiang has sent a congratulatory message to Nepal's newly appointed Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah. Chinese Premier Li sent the congratulatory message to the newly appointed Prime Minister Shah on Saturday.

In the congratulatory message, Premier Li emphasized that China and Nepal are traditional neighboring countries connected by mountains and rivers, and in the 71 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two nations have developed bilateral relations guided by the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.

He stated that the new government has China's support and reiterated continuous support for Nepal's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Chinese Premier Li also mentioned in the message that he is ready to work closely with Prime Minister Shah to jointly advance the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen cooperation in many areas at a high level.

The Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu stated on its social media platform Facebook that Premier Li's congratulatory message affirmed China's commitment to advancing the China-Nepal Friendly Strategic Cooperative Partnership for development and prosperity.
