Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Dolakha Due to Bad Weather; All Six Aboard Safe

It has been confirmed that a Mustang Helicopters Pvt. Ltd. helicopter made a safe landing in Dolakha due to inclement weather. The helicopter, which took off from Lapcha for Charikot on Friday afternoon, was found in Bigu Rural Municipality, Dolakha, after it was briefly out of communication and subsequently searched for.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the helicopter with call sign 9N-ANO took off from Lapcha at 12:17 PM. Due to geographical remoteness and deteriorating weather conditions, it lost contact with the air traffic control system shortly after takeoff.

Immediately after the helicopter went missing, search operations were launched involving local authorities, Nepal Police, foot teams from the Nepal Army, and a helicopter from the Nepal Army.

During the search, the helicopter was located at 5 PM near Lapche Monastery in Ward No. 1 of Bigu Rural Municipality, Dolakha District. The authority stated that the pilot managed to land the helicopter safely due to the bad weather conditions.

According to the authority, all six individuals aboard, including one crew member and five passengers, are safe.

The authority, through a press release, extended its gratitude to the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, local administration, and other concerned bodies and individuals who actively participated in the search and rescue operation.
