Indian PM Narendra Modi Congratulates Balen Shah on Assuming Office as Mayor of Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Balendra (Balen) Shah on taking the oath of office as the newly elected Mayor of Kathmandu. Modi extended warm congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure through a post on his social media.

Writing a message on social media, Modi mentioned that Balen's appointment reflects the deep trust and faith the Nepali people have placed in his leadership. Valuing the mandate, Modi also expressed confidence that Nepal will chart a path of progress under Balen's leadership.
