KKR Replaces Injured Harshit Rana with Pacer Navdeep Saini for IPL Season

Kolkata. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed fast bowler Navdeep Saini to replace the injured Harshit Rana in the Indian Premier League (IPL). KKR acquired Saini for 75 lakh Indian Rupees.

Saini, who has played 2 Tests, 8 ODIs, and 11 T20Is for India, has been out of the national team since 2021. Previously playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, he has taken 23 wickets in 32 matches.

Saini, getting a chance to return to the IPL after a long time, described this as a rebirth for his playing career. He stated that despite facing many ups and downs in the last two-three years, he did not stop working hard, which is why he got the opportunity to return to the field.

KKR had already included Saurabh Dubey in their squad on Monday, replacing the injured Akash Deep.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans (GT) has also made a change to its squad. Gujarat has signed Kulwant Khejroliya for 30 lakh Indian Rupees in place of the injured left-arm fast bowler Prithvi Raj Yarra. Khejroliya was also part of the Gujarat squad last season. He has previously played in the IPL for Bangalore and Kolkata.
