Woman Arrested in Kathmandu for Multiple Banking Offense Warrants

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a woman who was absconding in seven cases related to banking offenses. The arrested individual is 37-year-old Radhika Basnet, originally from Ward No. 3 of Baiteshwor Rural Municipality in Dolakha, currently residing in Kathmandu.

SP Manohar Bhatta of the Valley Crime Investigation Office told Ratopati that she was arrested on Chaitra 8 from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6.

It was found that complaints were registered against her at various police offices for seven banking offenses and two offenses related to foreign employment. SP Bhatta stated that the claimed amount in the nine cases totals NPR 8,015,000.

She has been sent to the District Police Range Kathmandu by the Valley Crime Investigation Office for further investigation. It was found that complaints against her were registered for two banking offenses at the Kathmandu Range, three at the Boudha Police Circle, and one each at Gaushala and Singha Durbar for banking offenses.

She was also absconding in two cases registered at the Department of Foreign Employment.
