Karnali Province Directs Traffic Offices to Enhance Road Safety and Management

Surkhet. Instructions have been issued to the offices under the Traffic Management Office, Karnali Province, to make road safety in Karnali Province more effective.

Police Superintendent Mukunda Prasad Rijal, Chief of the Nepal Police Highway Security and Traffic Management Office, Karnali Province, Surkhet, gave directions to the heads of the District Traffic Office and temporary Traffic Police Posts. Through a virtual meeting held today, he provided brief information and instructions on various matters related to traffic management.

He stated that necessary instructions were given to the subordinate offices with the objective of making traffic management and road safety more effective. "Primarily, I have directed to effectively implement the actions specified by the law for traffic police, control unprofessional conduct and behavior, and place special emphasis on citizen-friendly service delivery," he said.

Police Superintendent Rijal advised the traffic chiefs to coordinate and collaborate as necessary with relevant stakeholders in their respective areas to strengthen traffic management and road safety. He mentioned that instructions were given to play an active role in adopting necessary strategies to systematize traffic management in Karnali Province and reduce increasing road accidents.

All traffic chiefs present in the meeting presented the problems and challenges they faced in their respective areas, along with their experiences. He stated that necessary guidance was provided for the resolution of those problems.
