Seven Killed in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Seven people have died in separate road accidents in various parts of the country.

According to the Central News Room of Nepal Police, Khadga Prasad Khatiwada, 56, the motorcyclist residing in Bhutiya, Ghalchi Rural Municipality-2, died late Sunday night when his motorcycle, Ba.72 Pa 6948, collided with a truck, Na.6 Kha 3106, which was parked on the road after breaking down in Banchetar, Gajuri Rural Municipality-6, Dhading. He died during treatment at the Gajuri Primary Health Center after sustaining serious injuries. Police have taken the truck driver into custody.

In Dhanusha, Ankit Kumar Mandal, 25, the driver of motorcycle Ja.9 Pa 6967, residing in Dhanauji Rural Municipality-4, died on Sunday afternoon when two motorcycles, Province 2-02-001 Pa 1496 and Ja.9 Pa 6967, collided with each other at Kataiya Chowk in Dhanauji Rural Municipality-3. He died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital Janakpur after sustaining serious injuries. Two other injured individuals from the accident have been referred to Neuro Hospital Janakpur for further treatment.

In Mahottari, Ranjit Sah, 30, the driver, died late Sunday night when motorcycle Ja.4 Pa 4660 became uncontrollable and met with an accident in Shripurtol, Aurahi Municipality-3. He died during treatment at Janaki Academy Hospital Parsa after sustaining serious injuries.

In Banke, Hari Ram Tharu, 35, a passenger on motorcycle Ve.2 Pa 817, residing in Chinawas, Raptisonari Rural Municipality-3, died on Sunday evening when the motorcycle became uncontrollable and crashed while traveling from Kundachok towards Bairajpur in Raptisonari Rural Municipality-6. He died during treatment at Sanjeevani Medical College Nepalgunj after sustaining serious injuries. Police have taken the motorcycle driver into custody.

In Rupandehi, Ashish Yadav, 21, a rider on the motorcycle Lu.73 Pa 2120, died on Sunday afternoon when it collided with the truck Madhesh Province 03-002 Kha 3361 in Lakshminagar, Rohini Rural Municipality-3. He died during treatment at the Medical College Bhairahawa after sustaining serious injuries. Another person injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Police have taken the truck driver into custody.

In Bara, Ram Kumar Koirala, approximately 35, the motorcyclist residing in Gorkha, died late last night when a bus, Ba.Pra.01-006 Kha 9977, hit his motorcycle, Pra.3-02-013 Pa 3021, in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-22. He died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital Kalaiya after sustaining serious injuries. Another person injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Police have taken the bus driver into custody.

In Syangja, Jyotilal Khanal, 54, the driver, died late Sunday evening when motorcycle Ga.18 Pa 1109, coming from Chapakot towards Galyang, became uncontrollable and crashed in Sngaliya, Galyang Municipality-9. He died during treatment at the Primary Health Center Waling after sustaining serious injuries.

Police stated that necessary investigations into the accidents are underway.
