Dissatisfied Nepal Student Union Members Protest Senate Decision, Submit Memorandum to General Secretary

Kathmandu. Dissatisfied members of the Nepal Student Union (NSU) have submitted a memorandum to General Secretary Guru Ghimire, stating that the NSU Senate's decision to separate from the Congress party is unacceptable. They have also demanded action against the union's chairman, Dujang Sherpa.

The NSU Senate meeting held in Kathmandu had decided to separate from the party's sister organization and operate the union as an organization benefiting students.

Sherpa had stated that the Senate meeting decided to make the working procedure autonomous, acknowledging the need for improvement in student movements according to the changing times.
