Nepal Red Cross Society Launches One-Month Membership Drive

Kathmandu. The Nepal Red Cross Society has launched a one-month membership distribution campaign. The Society issued a notice stating that the membership drive, which began on Falgun 25, will continue until Chaitra 24.

The issued notice states, "It is well known that membership in the Nepal Red Cross is always open. Furthermore, in accordance with the provisions of the Society's Statute 2020 (including the eighteenth amendment 2082) and the decision made by the meeting of the Nepal Red Cross Society Central Ad-hoc Committee on Falgun 24, 2082, interested Nepali citizens wishing to obtain membership (including ensuring youth participation and 33 percent female representation) are hereby informed that the Society is operating the Membership Distribution Campaign from Falgun 25, 2082, to Chaitra 24, 2082 (for one month)."

The notice mentions that individuals interested in obtaining membership by embracing the principles, values, and ideals of the Red Cross campaign and paying the prescribed fee according to the procedure mentioned in the statute can obtain membership from the branch office at the municipal level, the district branch at the district level, the provincial office at the provincial level, and the central office at the central level.

The notice further states, "For contact, one can reach out to the chairpersons or secretaries of the sub-branches at the municipal level of the Nepal Red Cross Society, the chairpersons or ministers of all 77 district branches, the chairpersons or general secretaries of the seven provincial offices, and the General Secretary at the Central Office.
