CPN-UML Secretary Padam Aryal Accepts Election Results, Pledges Strong Opposition Role

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Secretary Padam Aryal has accepted the election results and stated that her party will now assume the role of a strong opposition.

She made these remarks while speaking to journalists after receiving the certificate for the Member of Parliament elected under the Proportional Representation system by the Election Commission on Thursday. 

She stated that they would cooperate with the Rastriya Swatantra Party, which is set to lead the upcoming government, for positive work. 

Secretary Aryal mentioned that the UML favors stability and that the election has brought political stability to the country. Secretary Aryal emphasized that the government should focus on creating employment, increasing production, and respecting women and senior citizens.

 She stated that political instability is the main obstacle to development and prosperity. She noted that the public expectation from the government is even higher now that the new force has received nearly a two-thirds mandate.

She stated that the UML will protect the mandate received from the people from the opposition bench and bring the government onto the right track. Informing that the UML's role in parliament will be strong in favor of the public interest and national interest, she said they would cooperate with good work and strictly monitor wrongdoings.

She stated that the UML will review its failure in the election and correct its shortcomings. —News Agency Nepal
