Tilagaupalika Accelerates Implementation of Major Development Projects, Invites Bids for 12 Schemes

Jumla. The Tilagaupalika (Rural Municipality) in the district has intensified the implementation of major development projects in the current fiscal year. In this regard, the Rural Municipality Chairman Motilal Rokaya informed that tenders have been called for 12 projects related to physical infrastructure construction and road expansion.

He stated that for the major plans approved for the current fiscal year 2082/83, bidding has taken place, agreements have been signed, and work is progressing rapidly. Chairman Rokaya informed that for the projects for which tenders have been called, agreements have been made with the respective construction companies, some projects are in the final stages, and some have been completed and are awaiting evaluation.

Currently, five roads within the Rural Municipality are being constructed through tenders using the complementary budget from the Federal Government. Work is underway through a bid worth NPR 4.709 million for the upgradation of the road from Seribazar, passing through Rara village, to Basthapla in Ward No. 1 of the Rural Municipality. Engineer Surendra Saud of the Rural Municipality informed that the construction of a rural agricultural road from Kudari Katepul to Lauru in Ward No. 3, for which a bid was called on Ashoj 10 last year for NPR 2.331 million, has reached its final stage.

Under the rural agricultural road construction in Wards No. 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the municipality, work is ongoing through a tender worth NPR 15.971 million for the upgradation of the road from Ransa to Ghodesudi-Manechaur Ransa leading to Khopri Kayarkot.

Engineer Saud further informed that a tender was called in a single package on Ashoj 12 last year for the road upgradation from Manechaur to Ransa leading to Chayapatan within the same ward for NPR 9.732 million, the road upgradation from Kudari to Dungri under Wards No. 3 and 5 for NPR 8.929 million, and the construction of embankment for Nauli Ghatta to Kulapata in the Rural Municipality for NPR 13.631 million.

Similarly, Dhirendra Bikram Thapa, Chief of the Rural Municipality's Planning Section, stated that bidding has taken place and work is ongoing for the Green Road Upgradation from Chayapata to Khopri Gaun, road upgradation from Patarsaghu to Latika Thaan, construction and upgradation of Ghodesim Green Road, and the Sapulligaun Khola Management Embankment plan.

Tilagaupalika also announced that tenders have been awarded for the construction of a concrete building for Bhawani Aavi School in Dugri village, Ward No. 5, and the construction of the Daniwada Drinking Water Project.

According to Planning Section Chief Thapa, out of approximately 125 projects to be constructed through the Consumer Committee, only 15 projects have had their agreements signed and work initiated so far. The process for signing agreements for the remaining projects is underway. He mentioned that work is being done to complete all these projects within the current fiscal year.

Rural Municipality Chairman Rokaya stated that the payment process for projects operated through tenders and those completed by the consumer committees has been affected due to the absence of a Chief Administrative Officer. He informed that the previous Chief Administrative Officer was transferred three months ago, and a new one has not yet arrived.
