Zelensky Deploys Over 200 Ukrainian Experts to Gulf Region to Counter Iranian Drone Attacks

Tehran. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that over 200 Ukrainian military experts have been deployed to counter Iranian drone attacks in the Gulf region and the Middle East. Addressing members of the British Parliament in London, he informed them that 201 anti-drone specialists are currently active in the region, with 34 more ready to be dispatched.

According to him, these experts are proficient in countering kamikaze drones designed by Iran dash; specifically the Shahed-136 drones. Russia has been using such drones against Ukraine in the war since 2022.

Zelensky stated that Ukrainian teams have already been deployed in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, and are en route to Kuwait. He added that agreements for cooperation are in place with other countries as well.

He claimed that Iran provided drone technology to Russia and further advanced it. He also claimed that Russian components have been found in some drones currently being used in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Zelensky noted a significant increase in his country's drone warfare capabilities, claiming that approximately 90 percent of Russian losses on the Ukrainian front are due to drone attacks.

He criticized the military cooperation between Iran and Russia as a partnership based on hatred. He also stated the necessity of international cooperation against such collaboration.
