Pathibhara Temple Collects Over NPR 3.1 Million in Offerings During Falgun Month

Taplejung. Pathibhara (Mukhumlung) collected over NPR 3.1 million in offerings during the month of Falgun. This amount was collected from the offerings made by devotees.

According to the details published by the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, devotees offered NPR 3,110,000 at Pathibhara in Falgun. According to Prajin Hangbang, the Executive Director of the committee, the offering amount presented by pilgrims at the temple is collected by the committee staff under the supervision of the Nepal Police. The collected offerings are securely sealed in packets and brought from the temple premises down to the base camp (Phedi).

The offerings collected at the base camp for about a week are then brought to the committee's office in the district headquarters, Phungling. The committee stated that the offerings are counted daily under the surveillance of the police and CCTV at the office and are then deposited in the bank.

According to the published data, 18,652 devotees visited the Pathibhara temple for darshan in Falgun. Thousands of devotees from within the country and abroad visit the famous religious and tourist destination, Pathibhara, throughout the year for darshan.
