Six Illegal Structures Demolished in Rautahat Forest Area

Rautahat. Six illegally constructed huts within the forest area of Rautahat have been demolished. The illegal structures were built in the forest area located at Beldi, Chandrapur Municipality-6.

Hemant Prasad Sah, Chief of the Division Forest Office, Rautahat, stated that a joint team comprising the Area Police Office Chandranigahapur, Armed Police Force Base Camp Santapur, Chandrapur Sub-Division Forest Office, and Rangpur Community Forest Consumer Group demolished six illegal houses and sheds constructed in the forest area and removed the encroachment on Thursday afternoon.

According to Division Chief Sah, some locals constructed houses and sheds overnight in the forest area and encroached upon it while forest employees were deployed for election duty during the House of Representatives election held on the 21st. The illegal structures were removed to clear the forest area.

Chief Sah clarified that forest encroachment will not be tolerated under any pretext. He urged the general public not to construct houses illegally or encroach upon the forest for the conservation of the forest area.
