Nepali Congress Leader Pradeep Poudel Slams Repeated Rape Incidents, Demands Swift Justice

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradeep Poudel has stated that the repeated occurrence of incidents like rape raises questions about good governance and the rule of law in the country.

He mentioned that the failure to reach a conclusion in the investigation of the death of 16-year-old Inisha B.K. from Surkhet, even after this much time has passed, raises serious questions.  

He strongly demanded that the government investigate the incident to its depths as soon as possible and take the strictest action against the guilty parties.  

A demand was also made to the government to create the necessary environment for the safety of women and children. He also recalled their commitment to zero tolerance against gender-based violence.
