CPN Leader Bhusal Stresses Need for Unity Among Leftist Forces Amid Current Political Climate

Kathmandu. CPN leader Pampha Bhusal has stated that the recent political situation has further increased the need for unity among leftist forces in the country.

She made these remarks on Thursday while addressing a program organized in Kathmandu by the Motidevi Memorial Center to honor inspiring women from various fields and to unveil a documentary.  

Bhusal stated that if communists and leftists try to move forward separately, there will be a situation where no one remains. She asserted that only by uniting and moving forward among the leftist forces will the sacrifice, austerity, and martyrdom of the leftist movement be justified.

She commented that politics in Nepal has recently become cheap. She interpreted the trend of reaching party leadership and obtaining political opportunities by wearing garlands and tika as a form of political distortion.

Bhusal mentioned that the achievements of the women's movement in Nepal are the result of a great struggle, stating that the current participation of women in politics, the judiciary, and the administrative and security sectors is the result of a long struggle.
