CPN-UML Leader Krishna Thapa Rushed to Hospital After Suffering Heart Attack During Party Meeting

Pokhara. Leader Krishna Thapa, who suffered a heart attack immediately after expressing his views at the CPN-UML's election review meeting and returning to his seat, was taken to the hospital within 9 minutes of the incident. Leaders including Tikaram Pangeni, who were present, immediately rushed him to Manipal Teaching Hospital after he suddenly collapsed while shaking hands with colleagues after concluding his speech.

Speaking with Ratopati, Pangeni said, 'He suddenly collapsed between 2:41 and 2:43 PM. He was taken to the hospital by 2:52/53 PM.' The meeting was reviewing the recent elections. During the review of Kaski Constituency No. 1, he had stated that he would take full responsibility for the loss incurred by the party.

He had raised questions regarding ticket distribution and the defeat in the election. Thapa was initially given the ticket for Kaski-2, but it was later given to Rashmi due to criticism. Following this, he had been complaining that a major conspiracy was being hatched against him. Thapa's body is currently kept at the hospital.

Leaders and cadres from various parties, high-ranking officials from Pokhara, and his supporters and well-wishers have gathered at the hospital premises.
