Fugitive Convicted of Burglary Arrested in Syangja District

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a person who was absconding after being convicted in a burglary case by the Syangja District Court. Narayan Lamichhane, alias Purna Bahadur Lamichhane, 38, a resident of Satau, Putlibazar Municipality-14 in the district, was taken into custody by a team from the District Police Office, Syangja on Wednesday.

The court had sentenced Lamichhane to 22 days in prison and a fine of 6,000 rupees for the offense of burglary. After the verdict, he remained a fugitive without serving his sentence. Police located him during their search in Pragatinagar, Putlibazar Municipality-1.

Police stated that the arrested Lamichhane has been presented before the Syangja District Court for the execution of the sentence.
