CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli Concedes Defeat in Recent Elections

Kathmandu. Following the preliminary results of the recently concluded elections where his party failed to secure the expected number of seats, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has publicly conceded defeat. He issued a statement via the social media platform Facebook, admitting that he and his party did not achieve the results they had anticipated in the election.

Stating that the people's verdict is final in a democracy, Oli committed to fully respecting and upholding the mandate received. Despite the election results not being in his favor, he extended special thanks to all voters, leaders, cadres, and well-wishers who voted for the party's election symbol, the Sun.

Mentioning that the trust of supporters who stood by him during difficult times is his main strength, Oli clarified that there will be no compromise in his commitment and service to the people. He expressed determination not to be disheartened by the loss, but rather to continue working among the people in the coming days and move forward by strengthening this relationship.

Even without the expected success in the elections, Oli indicated that he would make his future political journey more active by accepting the people's votes as a democratic exercise. At the end of his Facebook post, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to all supporters and stated that the election results would not halt the party's journey of public service.
