Former PM Dr. Baburam Bhattarai to Attend 'NEXTY 2026' Global Summit in New Delhi

Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is scheduled to depart for India tomorrow to participate in the 'NEXTY 2026' Global Summit to be held in New Delhi, India.

Bhattarai is slated to attend the conference, which will take place at the India Exposition Mart in New Delhi on March 12, 13, and 14, as the 'Guest of Honor'.

According to the organizers, the summit, which will see participation from policymakers, parliamentarians, technology experts, business leaders, and representatives from the education sector worldwide, will feature discussions on contemporary issues including global governance, technology, economy, education, security, health, environment, and international relations.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the summit as the Chief Guest. The organizers stated that this conference, with participation from parliamentarians, policymakers, experts, and youth representatives from various countries, is considered an important platform for global debate and cooperation.

As part of the summit, Bhattarai is scheduled to deliver a 'Guest of Honor Address' during the session titled "Democracy in the Age of AI: Digital Governance & The Youth" at 10:05 AM on March 14. The session is planned to feature the presentation of views on democracy, good governance, and the role of youth in light of the development of digital technology and artificial intelligence.

Bhattarai is scheduled to return to Nepal on Falgun 30, his secretariat announced.
