Rastriya Swatantra Party Secures Historic Victory in House of Representatives Elections

Kathmandu. The final vote count results for all 165 constituencies in the House of Representatives elections under the first-past-the-post system have been made public. According to the announced results, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has achieved a historic victory across the country.

According to information provided by the Election Commission, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has become the leading party by winning 125 seats under the direct election system.  

The Nepali Congress, which is in second place, managed to win 18 seats, while CPN (UML) won 9 seats.  

The Communist Party of Nepal, which is in third place, won 8 seats, while the newly emerged Labor Culture Party registered an encouraging presence by winning 3 seats.  

Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party won 1 seat, and one independent candidate has also been victorious. Former Education Minister Mahabir Pun won as an independent candidate from Myagdi 1.  

With this, the counting process for the direct elections in all 165 constituencies across the country has concluded.
