Apex court orders contractor to repair Janakpur-Jaleshwor road in time

Kathmandu - The Supreme Court has issued an interim order, asking the contractor to complete repair of Janakpur-Jaleshwor road in time.

A single bench of Justice Om Prakash Mishra on Tuesday asked the contractor also not to compromise on quality work.

The contractor has also been urged to furnish the reason for the failure to complete the project even in a year after the deadline expired.

The judgment came in response to a write petition filed by advocate Dipendra Jha on July 23, demanding that the road repair be completed in time. The writ said the risk of road accidents increased due to potholes the road developed for want of repair.
