Nepali Congress Candidate Wins House of Representatives Seat in Mugu

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress candidate Khadga Shahi has been elected in Mugu in the House of Representatives election held last Thursday. He defeated CPN-UML candidate Purnabahadur Rokaya.

Shahi was elected by securing 7,914 votes. His closest competitor, UML candidate Rokaya, received 6,718 votes.

Chandra Bahadur Shahi of the Communist Party of Nepal received 5,558 votes. Bhuwan Tamata of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got 530, Rangabir Pariyar of CPN (Maoist Centre) received 280, Balbahadur Malla of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 203, and Aitan Kumar Malla of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party received 22 votes.
