Weather Forecast: High Pressure System and Trough Influence Bring Mixed Conditions Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a low-pressure trough near the eastern parts of the country.

Currently, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, are generally cloudy, while the remaining areas are partly cloudy.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will generally remain cloudy. The remaining parts of the country will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with snowfall. Fog will persist in some parts of the Terai region during the morning.

Tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will generally remain cloudy. The remaining areas will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati province and the Terai region of Koshi province.
