Nepal Reaches ACC Women's U-19 Premier Cup 2026 Semi-finals

Kathmandu. Nepal has reached the semi-finals of the ACC Women's U-19 Premier Cup 2026.

By defeating Japan by 9 wickets at the YSD UKM Oval ground in Malaysia on Wednesday, Nepal secured its place in the final four.

Nepal chased down Japan's target of 87 runs in just 11.2 overs, losing only 1 wicket. For Nepal, Savitri Dhami remained not out on 41 runs. She hit 7 fours off 32 balls.

Captain Sony Pakhrin also remained not out on 18 runs off 22 balls. She hit 2 fours. Opener Sana Praveen scored 18 runs off 16 balls with the help of 3 fours.

Earlier, Japan was all out for 86 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. For the team, captain Bianca Shino scored a maximum of 38 runs. Ayane Sakuraba and Kicho Suzuki scored 10 runs each. Other batters could not score in double digits.

Riya Sharma and Krishma Gurung took 2 wickets each to restrict Japan to a low score. Anu Kadayat, Manisha Upadhyay, and Sony Pakhrin took 1 wicket each.
