Rastriya Swatantra Party Leads in House of Representatives Election Count

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won in a hundred constituencies in the ongoing vote count for the House of Representatives elections. According to the results as of 6:15 AM today, RSP candidates are leading in 25 constituencies.

According to the Election Commission, out of 129 constituencies whose vote counts have been made public so far, the Nepali Congress has won in 14 constituencies and is leading in 2. The CPN-UML has won in seven constituencies and is leading in four.

According to the Commission, six candidates from the Communist Party of Nepal have won so far, and they are leading in 1 constituency. Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and an independent candidate have won in one constituency each. Furthermore, three candidates from the Shram Sanskriti Party are in the lead.

Proportional Representation

So far, 1,945,155 votes have been counted for the proportional representation election for the House of Representatives held on Falgun 21. According to the Commission, the RSP has received 1,046,000 votes so far, the Nepali Congress 347,000, the CPN-UML 275,000, and the Communist Party of Nepal 121,000 votes.
