Rastriya Swatantra Party's Khemraj Koirala Elected to House of Representatives from Kailali-4

Dhangadhi. Khemraj Koirala, the candidate from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kailali Constituency Number 4.

Koirala achieved victory in the electoral contest, leaving behind veteran leaders of established political parties. He was elected by 28,556 voters in Constituency Number 4 who placed their trust in him.

Koirala, who hails from Gauriganga Municipality-1, has seen his profile and praise rise after securing the election and making his way to parliament from this constituency, which is designated as the capital of Sudurpashchim Province. Koirala's background is primarily focused on education and social service. He began teaching in 2053 BS and taught at Malika Secondary School until 2065 BS. Furthermore, he has experience in banana farming, foreign employment, and operating private schools.

Koirala, who is pursuing a Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor's degree in Law, is also active in social service through the Lions Club. Although a new face in politics, he has already served as the Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party in Kailali District.

After winning the election, he committed to working according to his capabilities. His first agenda is controlling corruption. He announced that he would confiscate the assets of corrupt individuals and use them for nation-building.

Similarly, another key agenda for him is bringing the Geta Hospital in Kailali into full operation. He stated that he would end the compulsion for local patients to seek treatment elsewhere by eliminating shortages of equipment and manpower.

He mentioned bringing long-term plans, including agriculture, tourism, and skills-based training, to retain youth who seek foreign employment within the country. He also stated that he would arrange free training for jobs such as security guard and cook.

Koirala has also put forward a plan to establish seven smart cities in all seven provinces. He clarified that this plan would specifically target the landless, laborers, and the underprivileged class.

Furthermore, Koirala, who considers politics a service rather than a profession, announced that he is running as a candidate only once. He stated his intention to give an opportunity to a capable youth the next time if he wins.

He is committed to completing these tasks now that the people have elected him and sent him to parliament.

Koirala pledged to bring a special package to uplift the living standards of the former Kamaiya, Tharu community, and impoverished settlements in Kailali-4, stating that the next five years would be dedicated to development and good governance. Believing in work and results over speeches, he has emerged as a promising leader in the district. He said, "We will never let the trust that the people have placed in me die."
