Body of Nepali Worker Killed in UAE Drone Incident Repatriated, Cremated

Gorkha. The body of Divas Shrestha from Bhorlang Thanti, Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-7, Gorkha, who lost his life in an Iranian attack in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was brought to Nepal today and cremated. Shrestha's body was brought to Nepal via an Air Arabia flight through the initiative of the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The deceased's body was cremated today at Pashupati Aryaghat, informed Narayan Shrestha, the Ward Chairman of Bhimsen Thapa-7. Shrestha, 39, died last Sunday in an incident that occurred while neutralizing a drone at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.

Shrestha, who worked as a security guard for a Middle East company in Abu Dhabi, had gone there for foreign employment three years ago. He had returned to Nepal last Ashoj and then went back to Dubai. The deceased Shrestha is survived by his father, mother, and one sister.
