Mustang Election Results Show Interesting Dynamics for Political Parties

Pokhara. The results from Mustang have been quite interesting. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which came third in the proportional representation (PR) category by securing 750 votes in the direct election, emerged as the second-best party by securing excellent votes in the PR category. RSP secured 2,313 votes in the PR category.

The Nepali Congress, which secured 3,007 votes in the direct election, significantly reduced its votes in the PR category. Congress only managed to secure 2,521 votes here. The situation was even worse for the CPN-UML, which came second in the direct election.

UML received only 1,204 votes in the PR category. While CPN received 126 votes and RPP received 123 votes, the Shram Sanskriti Party secured 136 votes. Biplav-led Maoist received 34 votes, Ujyalo received 34 votes in PR, and Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party received 28 votes.
