China Congratulates Nepal on Successful House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. China has congratulated Nepal on the recently concluded peaceful and successful election of the House of Representatives members. Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed happiness on Friday during a regular press conference that Nepal has smoothly advanced its political agenda.

China views the election, in which approximately 60 percent voter turnout was recorded according to the Election Commission's data, as a positive step, noting the encouraging process. Spokesperson Ning mentioned that China, which traditionally plays the role of a good neighbor, has always given high priority to its relationship with Nepal.

She recalled that both countries have consistently cooperated in defending each other's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. China has signaled its full support for Nepal's development and prosperity in the new political environment following the election.

Spokesperson Ning stated that China is ready to further strengthen its strategic partnership and cooperation with Nepal in the coming days. China expressed its desire to work with Nepal's future leadership to take the decades-long friendship for development and prosperity to new heights.

The Chinese side expressed confidence that Nepal's internal political stability will also contribute to regional peace.
