All Ballot Boxes from Northern Gorkha's Chumnubri Rural Municipality Brought to District Headquarters

Gorkha. All ballot boxes from the Chumnubri Rural Municipality in northern Gorkha, under Gorkha Constituency No. 1, have been brought to the district headquarters today.

Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma of Gorkha informed that the ballot boxes from the remaining 14 polling stations were brought to the headquarters this morning via a Nepal Army helicopter.

The ballot boxes from Lho (Ward No. 2), Sirdibas (Ward No. 3), Proke (Ward No. 4), and Bihi (Ward No. 5) of Chumnubri Rural Municipality were brought in the morning. Due to geographical remoteness, there was a compulsion to bring the ballot boxes from 23 polling stations in Chumnubri by helicopter.

He said, "Yesterday, preparations were made to bring those ballot boxes, but it could not be completed due to bad weather." He added, "As the weather cleared this morning, the Army helicopter brought all the remaining ballot boxes to the headquarters."

Previously, the Army helicopter brought ballot boxes from nine polling stations on Friday. He stated that with the completion of the collection of ballot boxes for Gorkha Constituency No. 1, preparations are underway to start the vote counting today itself.
