Rastriya Swatantra Party's Pramod Kumar Mahato Wins Mahottari-1 House of Representatives Seat

Mahottari. Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Pramod Kumar Mahato has won the House of Representatives seat from Mahottari Constituency-1. He secured victory by obtaining 34,636 votes. His closest competitor, CPN candidate Girirajmani Pokharel, received 624 votes.

Speaking to journalists after his victory, Mahato stated that this win was not personal but a victory for the people's desire for change. He thanked the voters in all 30 wards of the constituency and pledged to translate the people's trust into action.

He said, "There are more than one lakh voters in this constituency. I will stand by the people in their joys and sorrows and work according to their expectations."

Mahato stated that he would prioritize the development of the agricultural sector and the resolution of unemployment issues in the constituency. He also mentioned his seriousness regarding the 'crusher terror' seen in Constituency No. 1. "I myself was a crusher businessman before, but not anymore. I will take initiative to end the crusher terror seen in this area," he said.

Similarly, he expressed concern over the ongoing exploitation in the Chure region and committed to taking necessary steps for its conservation.

"I am the son of the people. Just as a son loves his family, I love my constituency. If we fail to live up to the people's trust, the people will reject us too," Mahato said.
