Rastriya Swatantra Party Candidate Maintains Double Lead in Makwanpur-2 House of Representatives Race

Hetauda. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Prashant Upreti has maintained a double-digit lead in the counting of votes for the House of Representatives election in Makwanpur Constituency No.-2. Upreti, who has been in the leading position since the initial stages, has kept his lead doubled.

In the counting of 15,464 votes from wards 2 through 9 (8 wards) of Manahari Rural Municipality in Makwanpur, RSP's Upreti secured 6,019 votes, while Congress candidate Buddha Lama is continuously trailing him.

Lama has garnered 2,874 votes, while UML candidate Mahesh Bartaula has received 2,409 votes. CPN candidate Lobsher Bista has secured 1,427 votes. 

Manahari Rural Municipality is generally considered a stronghold for UML and Congress. However, RSP candidate Upreti is also a local of Manahari. He is a voter in Ward No.-7 of Manahari Rural Municipality.
