Armed Police Rearrest Fugitive Escaped During Jailbreak in Rautahat

Rautahat. The Armed Police Force in Rautahat has successfully rearrested an accused who had escaped from the Gaur Prison. Ramnaresh Sah, 40, a resident of Saruatha, Yamunamai Rural Municipality-4, who fled after breaking out of prison during the 'Jangi Andolan' (War Movement), was taken into custody by a team from the Armed Police Force on Thursday evening.

Sah, who was serving time in jail in a drug case, had escaped from prison on Bhadra 24. The Armed Police in Rautahat stated that he was apprehended at 5:45 PM based on a special tip-off in Sursia village, Gaur Municipality-9, after being on the wanted list for a long time.

According to SP Ramhari Adhikari, Chief of the Armed Police Force No. 11 Battalion, the arrested Sah has been handed over to the District Police Office, Rautahat, for necessary legal action.
