Vote Counting Begins in Sunsari Constituency-1, Featuring Former Dharan Mayor Hark Sampang

Sunsari. Vote counting has begun in Sunsari Constituency No. 1. Candidates here include Hark Sampang, the former mayor of Dharan and also the chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party.

An all-party meeting was held at the Election Officer's office located in Dharan's Ward 8 auditorium this morning at 9 AM, where it was decided to start counting from 11 AM. However, the counting has only just commenced.

The office stated that the delay in counting was due to the preparation of identity cards for the political parties and candidates participating in the counting process.

Election Officer Divyaraj Ghimire informed that in the first phase, two ballot boxes from Ward No. 1 of Dharan were opened. It was agreed in the all-party meeting that results would be announced every two hours.

The Election Officer's office reported that out of a total of 150,393 registered voters in Sunsari 1, a total of 88,372 votes were cast.

Election Officer Ghimire further informed that among the cast votes, 47,908 were cast by female voters, while 40,464 were cast by male voters.
