Rastriya Swatantra Party Takes Early Lead in Kanchanpur Federal Elections, Signaling Potential Sweep

Mahendranagar. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has taken an early lead in the ongoing counting of votes for the House of Representatives elections in Kanchanpur, signaling a potential clean sweep in the district. RSP candidates are maintaining the lead in all three constituencies of the district, surpassing established leaders of competing parties.

In Constituency No. 1, where 6,024 votes have been counted, RSP's Janak Singh Dhami is in the first position with 1,830 votes. He is being closely followed by Tara Lama Tamang of CPN (UML) with 1,519 votes. A total of 61,074 votes were cast in this constituency, and the counting is still ongoing.

Similarly, in Constituency No. 2, RSP's Deepak Raj Bohara has established a wide lead. Bohara has secured 4,268 votes, while influential Nepali Congress leader Narayan Prakash Saud is limited to 1,525 votes. A total of 64,881 votes were cast in this constituency.

In Constituency No. 3, RSP's Gyanendra Singh Mahata is ahead with 1,204 votes. He is being followed by Nepali Congress's Hari Prasad Bohara with 448 votes. The encouraging initial results for the RSP, symbolized by the 'bell' (RSP's election symbol), in all three Kanchanpur constituencies pose a significant challenge to the older parties.
