Vote Counting Underway in Karnali Province's Six Constituencies; Congress Leads in Surkhet-1, Dailekh-1

Vote counting is ongoing in six constituencies of Karnali as of 12:00 PM on Friday. Counting has just begun in some areas, while initial reports from six constituencies have already arrived. Accordingly, Nepali Congress has taken the lead in Surkhet-1 and Dailekh-1 so far, while CPN-UML leads in Surkhet-2.

Similarly, the CPN (Communist Party) leads in Kalikot and RPP leads in Jumla. In Rukum West, Janardan Sharma 'Prabhakar' of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party is leading.

Vote Results So Far

In Surkhet-1, after counting 1990 votes, Congress's Bishnu Kumar Khadka has secured 796 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party's Tek Bahadur Singh is in second place with 545 votes, while CPN-UML's Dhruv Kumar Shahi has received 427 votes.

Furthermore, CPN (Communist Party)'s Jeet Bahadur Rana has received 77 votes, and RPP's Rabi Kiran Hamal has received 17 votes. There were 84 invalid votes. In Surkhet-2, although Congress initially led, CPN-UML's Kulmani Devkota is currently leading with 316 votes.

Likewise, Congress's Koirala has received 218 votes, RASP's Ramesh Kumar Sapkot has received 127 votes, and CPN (Communist Party)'s Jhak Bahadur Malla has received 107 votes.

Meanwhile, Congress's Basna Thapa is continuously ahead in Dailekh-1. She is leading with 1949 votes. Here, UML's Rabindra Sharma has received 1475, RASP's Nandakishor Basnet has received 1024, and CPN (Communist Party)'s Ammar Bahadur Thapa has received 129 votes.

In Kalikot, CPN (Communist Party)'s Mahendra Bahadur Shahi is continuously leading. After counting votes from Palata, Pachajharana, and Narharinath rural municipalities and some wards of Tilaguf, Shahi has received 4836 votes.

Similarly, Congress's Hars Bahadur Bam has received 3590 votes, UML's Nagendra Shahi has received 3432 votes, and CPN (Maoist Center)'s Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma 'Prakanda' has received 2339 votes. RASP has only received 790 votes. In Jumla, RPP's Gyan Bahadur Shahi (Gyanendra) is continuously leading. CPN's Naresh Bhandari is in second place in Jumla.

In the meantime, the first update from Rukum West has also arrived. After counting a total of 902 votes from Aathbiskot Wards 1 and 3, the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party candidate Sharma secured 412 votes. His closest competitor, Gopal Sharma of the CPN (Communist Party), received 287 votes.

Furthermore, Nepali Congress's Raju KC received 88 votes, while Rastriya Swatantra Party's Man Bahadur Shahi obtained 82 votes.
