Jhapa District Records 64.24% Voter Turnout in House of Representatives Election 2079

Biratnagar. The final and official details of the voting held in all five constituencies of Jhapa district under the House of Representatives Election 2079 have been made public.

According to the District Administration Office, Jhapa, the overall voter turnout in Jhapa this time was 64.24 percent. Official statistics show that out of a total of 713,537 registered voters across the district, 458,362 people exercised their right to vote.

Looking at the nature of the voting across the district, the participation of female voters was significantly more encouraging compared to male voters. Out of the total 458,362 votes cast, 242,575 votes were cast by women, while 215,785 votes were cast by men. Additionally, 2 people voted under the 'other' category. Examining the constituency-wise data, Jhapa Constituency No. 2 recorded the highest turnout at 65.25 percent, while Constituency No. 3 recorded the lowest turnout at 62.79 percent.

According to the details, out of 131,067 registered voters in Constituency No. 1, 83,822 people, or 63.95 percent, voted. Similarly, Constituency No. 2 had 147,522 registered voters, and 96,253 people participated in the voting process.

In Constituency No. 3, out of 140,857 registered voters, only 88,449 votes were cast. Meanwhile, Constituency No. 4 had 130,712 registered voters, with 83,466, or 63.85 percent, voting, and in Constituency No. 5, out of 163,379 registered voters, 106,372 people, or 65.11 percent, exercised their right to vote.
