Voting Concludes Early at Most Polling Stations in Northern Gorkha

Voting has concluded at most polling centers in northern Gorkha. Election officials deployed in the mountainous region informed that voting has finished at centers with one hundred or fewer voters.

Filim Basic School Pati Polling Officer Bishnu Prasad Timilsina stated that although voting has ended, they must wait at the polling station until 5:00 PM as per regulations. "Out of the 198 voters at this polling station, 138 votes were cast by 12:00 PM, and no one has come to vote since then. We are waiting at the center as per the rule to stay until 5:00 PM," he said. According to him, party representatives have indicated that this is the final count of voters who will come to cast their ballots.

Voting has also concluded at Sidung Basic School Sasryu. Polling Officer Prakash Kafle informed that out of 145 voters here, people stopped coming after 86 votes were cast. He also mentioned waiting until 5:00 PM as per regulations.

At Kwak Basic School Polling Center, out of a total of one hundred voters, 40 votes were cast before voters stopped coming, informed Polling Officer Bipin Regmi. At Chhak Basic School, which has 111 voters, voting stopped after 55 votes were cast, said Polling Officer Ramesh Dhakal.

At Samdo Basic School center with one hundred four voters, Polling Officer Bijay Shrestha informed that after 24 votes were cast by 11:00 AM, voters stopped coming. He added that the voter count might increase as information has been received that some voters who had moved to Kathmandu and other districts to avoid the cold are currently en route.

Balram Shrestha, the Polling Officer at the Krak Basic School polling center in Chumanubri-5, noted that out of 137 voters, 80 votes were cast before voters stopped coming. "We are waiting at the polling station as per regulations," he said.

Similarly, Sandeep Marhatta, the Polling Officer, informed that 90 votes were cast at Buddha Himli Basic School polling center (out of 137 voters), 69 votes by 12:00 PM at Chumling Basic School Chumchet polling center (out of 175 voters), and 84 votes at Siddha Ganesh Basic School (out of 176 voters) before voters stopped coming.

"No voters have come to the Larke Bazaar Health Post polling center in Namrung even by 1:00 PM," said Polling Officer Rajendra Khanal. He informed that out of the district's lowest 76 voters, 24 have voted so far.
