Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Visit US

Jerusalem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit the US on Saturday. International news agency Reuters provided this information on Wednesday, citing a senior Israeli official.

According to the official, Netanyahu has expressed a desire to meet with US President Donald Trump. However, it is not yet certain whether a meeting will take place between the two leaders. Israel has been active on two fronts amidst the ongoing recent conflict in West Asia.

Along with military operations against Iran in coordination with the US, Israel is also fighting against the Iran-backed Hezbollah group in Lebanon. Under the interim agreement between the US and Iran last month, Iran had demanded an end to the ongoing war in Lebanon. However, it is said that the agreement has become ineffective after renewed military clashes began between the US and Iran.
