Koshi Province Police Chief Reports Peaceful Election Progress Across Region

Biratnagar. Koshi Province Police Chief Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Binod Ghimire has informed that the elections are proceeding peacefully across the province. In a conversation with Ratopati, he clarified that there have been no incidents of security challenges or disruptions to the voting process at any polling station in the province.

According to DIG Ghimire, voting was affected at one polling center in Okhaldhunga because voters voluntarily decided not to cast their ballots. However, he stated that voting has not been stopped due to any dispute or clash elsewhere.

He mentioned that the final figures might increase as there is still one hour remaining for the voting time. He further informed that voters are still arriving at polling centers in areas including Morang and that the security arrangements are fully robust.
