Voter Turnout Reaches 50% in Siraha District

Siraha. Fifty percent voting has been completed in Siraha. Voting began at 7 AM, and by 1 PM, approximately 50 percent of the voting was completed.

Rajan Shrestha, Chief of the District Election Office, Siraha, stated that voting has reached around 50% so far. According to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, Siraha, 534 polling stations, including 223 permanent and one temporary station across the four constituencies of the district, have been established, totaling 534 centers (531 permanent and three temporary).

A total of 534 election officers have been deployed across the district for the election. Four thousand seven hundred ninety-four staff members, including three assistants for each permanent center, have been mobilized. A total of 138 candidates, including 54 from political parties and 84 independents, are contesting in the four constituencies of the district.

The total number of voters is 453,645, comprising 241,615 male, 212,028 female, and two other voters. According to the District Election Office, security arrangements have been tightened across all four constituencies.
