Voter Turnout Reaches 40% in Rukum (East) Where Prachanda is Contesting

Kathmandu. Voter turnout has reached 40 percent in Rukum (East), where the Chairman of the CPN, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', is a candidate. Chief Election Officer Shiv Prasad Khanal informed that a total of 40.09 percent voting took place until 1 PM today.  

A total of 13,919 people have voted during this period. Among them, 6,617 were male and 7,323 were female.  Chief Election Officer Khanal stated that voting is proceeding peacefully in all locations within this constituency.
